Die STC-01 stammt ausAustralien. ich habe sie gekauft weil ich mit der STC-04 sehr zufrieden bin. Sie kommt ohne Schnickschnak aus, besitzt nicht einmal eine Wasserstandsanzeige. Man füllt den Kessel durch das abgeschraubte Sicherheitsventil oben und wenn Wasser aus der abgeschraubten Füllstandsschraube auf halber Höhe der Vorderseite des Kessels austritt hört man mit befüllen auf. Die Maschine hat sich beim Probieren von Hand sehr leicht bewegen lassen. Sowas kenne ich eher von Regners und Stuarts. Sehr fein alles.
Die STC-01 macht der STC-04 den Rang der besten maschine, die ich habe, streitig. Sie sieht nicht ganz so edel aus und deswegen muss sie sich hinter ihrer Schwester einordnen.
The STC-01 is made in Australia. I bought her because the STC´04 is more than satisfying. She is without superflous features and does not even have a water gauge. The boiler is filled threw the thread of the savety valve until water spills through the thread of the filler plug. The engine could be very easyly turned by hand. Very well done.
The STC-01 would bee the best toy steam engine I have but there is the STC-04. In my opinion the STC-04 is the nicer engine and therefore the STC-01 comes close behind her sister

Die Maschine ist hervorragend verarbeitet. So etwas findet man bei Spielzeugmmaschinen bestenfalls noch bei Kleinemeier, oder Karsten Gintschel. Sie läuft nicht ganz so leise wie die STC-04, entwickelt dafür aber mehr Kraft, was auf Kosten der Laufzeit geht. Die Luft kommt besser an den Brennerschieber und der Esbit verbrennt schneller und erzeugt damit auch mehr Dampf. Vibrationen treten keine auf.
Sie sticht aus der Masse der kleinen Spielzeugmaschinen hervor und ist auf alle Fälle ein Blickfang, auch wenn sie meiner Meinung nach vom Design her nicht ganz an die STC-04 heran kommt. Die Meßlatte liegt da allerdings auch sehr hoch.

She runs not as quiet as the STC-04 but she provides more power. The air flow to the burner tray is better and the solid fuel is consumed faster. For this reason more steam is produced. The running time is shorter. There are no perceptible vibrations.
She stands out of the crowd of the common small toy steam engines and is an eycatcher anyway even if she has not the "je ne sais quoi" of the STC-04. The engine can be ordered at the maker directly.
