Wilesco (Wilhelm Schröder GmbH & Co. KG) is a company with a long history. Beside hobby steam engines and a wide range of driven models, accesories and spare parts they produce scoops and hooks. Most of the steam engines are uncomplicated and rather inexpensive. Although mostly heated by dry fuel tablets there are also a few "electrics" also.

Their forte isthe driven models. The range is immense. There are not very many manufacturers of driven models left today. Mamod, Tucher & Walter and some occasional accessory by another company, or private initiative. A lot of old driven models can be purchased, but most of them are damaged, or expensive, or both

The steam engines are limited in power and boiler pressure and are very lightly build. One should not expect too much. They are okey for having fun, or for beginners.
