Die SP5D habe ich von "Forrest Classics. Die SP5D hat einen Generator im Gegensatz zur SP5, die keinen hat. Die Maschine ist neu gekauft. Es ist eine Zweizylindermaschine mit Schwingzylindern ohne Umsteuerung.
Die Qualität ist durchwachsen. Das Schwungrad flattert wie ein Kuhschwanz.

The quality is not first class. The fly wheel wobbels considerably.
Viel mehr als den Generator schafft die Maschine wohl nicht. Sie ist nicht besonders kräftig. Für das Geld dürfte man eine bessere Qualität erwarten. Sie ist jedoch klein und handlich und eignet sich ganz gut, um Laien die Funktion einer Dampfmaschine zu zeigen, die richtig arbeiten muss.Die Laufzeit selbst mit drei statt der empfohlenen zwei Tabletten ist mit nicht einmal 10 Minuten recht kurz. Der Gestank der Mamod Festbrennstofftabletten ist unerträglich. Ein Spiritus, oder Gasbrenner ist sehr empfehlenswert.
Die Wilesco D18 ist die bessere Wahl in diesem Fall.
The engine is not very powerful. The power she generates is just enough to drive the generator. One should expect better quality for the money. Because she is small and handy she is well suited for showing a hard working steam engine at nearly every place. Running time is short even with three instead of the recommended two fuel tablets it is well below 10 minutes. The stench of the Mamod solid fuel tablets is nearly unbearable. A meth or a gas burner would be an important improvement.
The Wilesco D18 would be the better choice.
