The D22 was my third Engine. I bought it out of "desperation", because the D5 did not run and the D21 was defect. There where some people that encouraged me to continue with that hobby. Thanks guys.
I am very satisfied with the D22. She seems to lack the usual Wilesco faults, is a great runner and is rather high quality. Everything fits tighly. With her two cylinders she makes a fine sound. I like her very much and she sees a lot of steaming and experimentation with driven models.
The boiler indicates that she is steamed often
She is very powerful and able to drive five or six models, maybe even more. She is worth every cent I spent. Sadly the Governer is also without function.
Sometimes I use a Methburner, but the Engine seems not to suit well to it. I consider to get her a Gasburner.
She is a Manometerkiller. I do not know why. She killed already two Wilesco Manometers. If she kills the third one I will get her a Regner Manometer with syphon.
