Diese D8 ist die letzte Produktionsvariante der D8 bevor die Reihe 2007 eingestellt wurde. Sie ist sehr bunt und auffällig. Diese D8 läuft auch unter der Bezeichnung D8H oder D8 "Harlekin".
Meine ist aus Ebay und war schwer mitgenommen. Von außen war wenig zu sehen, aber die Brennerschale und die Führungsschiene waren nur noch Schrott. Wahrscheinlich wurde die Brennerschale nach dem Betrieb nicht herausgenommen und die Esbitreste haben dafür gesorgt das die Brennerschale sich mit der Führungsschiene verklebt hat. Gewalt tat dann den Rest.

I won this engine at ebay. At first glance all seemed to be okey but the burner tray and the rail were beyond repair and had to be replaced. I think the former owner was very inexpirienced and let the burner tray in the rail after a run. The molten remains of the solid fuel baked the tray and the rail together. Brute force and ignorance did the rest.
Die Maschine läuft nicht sehr gut und mit starken Vibrationen, aber immerhin läuft sie nach der Instandsetzung wieder.
Eine D8 war wohl nie die erste Wahl. Wenn schon eine oszillierende Maschine, dann eine D6, oder eine D12. Mit der Ansicht stand ich wohl nicht alleine da. Die Baureihe D8 wurde 2008 eingestellt.
The engine is not a good runner. There is a lot of shaking and rattling but at least she runs after repair.
The D8s seems to be never the first choice. If one wanted to have a Wilesco oscillating engine then he bought a cheap D6 or a long time runnung D12. Therfore the sales volume did not reach Wilescos espectations and the engine was cancelled.
