D70 "African Queen"

Die D70 ist ein Dampfboot mit Holzrumpf und Dampfmaschine. Es ist dem Boot in dem gleichnamigen Film mit Katharine Hepburn und Humphrey Bogart nachgebildet. Die Serie ist auf 1000 Stück limitiert, aber noch erhältlich, was nicht für einen kommerziellen Erfolg spricht. Eine Fernsteuerung kann zwar nachgerüstet werden, jedoch darf man nicht zu viel erwarten, da die Maschine als Einzylindermaschine nicht selbstanlaufend ist.

The D70 is a steam boat model with wooden hull. She is build after the boat in the the film of the same name with Katharine Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart. The boat is limited to1000 models but the boat is still avalilleble. That indicates it is not a commercial success. It is driven by a single cylinder engine. Radio control can be fitted but as the engine is not self starting does limit the boats capabilities cosiderably.
