Diese D16 habe ich von einem englischen Dampffreund aus dem "Mamod Forum". Die Maschine ist an der Grenze von Ära I zu Ära II und stammt nachweislich aus dem Jahr 1953.
IDer Zustand ist für das Alter hervorragend. Zu dieser Zeit gab es noch keine Federsicherheitsventile, sondern nur die Hebelsicherheitsventile mit Gewicht. Die Dampfpfeife ist auf dem Ventil aufgesetzt.
I got this engine from an English friend and member of the "Mamod and other steam" forum. The engine is at the border of era i and era II and was verifiably produced in 1953.
Considering the age of the engine she is in excellent condition. At that time there have been no spring safety valves but only the lever safety valves with weight and with integrated steam whistle.
Die Maschine ist sehr kraftvoll und sehr gut mit dem Dampfventil zu steuern. Vier oder fünf, wahrscheinlich mehr Antriebsmodelle dürften kein Problem für diese "alte" D16 darstellen. Der Lauf ist extrem ruhig und vibrationsarm. Die Qualität der Mascine ist hervorragend.
Im Video betreibe ich verschiedene Lebensräder. Es empfielt sich nicht längere Zeit hin zu sehen, will man nicht hypnotisiert werden. :-)
The D16 is a powerful engine and can be easyly controlled by the steam valve. One can surely drive four, five or even more driven models. She is an extremly smooth and quiet runner.The quality is exceptional.
In the video she drives different wheels of live. I recommend to avoid looking at the video for too long to avoid beeing mesmerized.
